Well Planning

Using the JewelSuite™ Well Planning process, new wells can be interactively created in the 3D view.
Supported Well Types:
- Vertical wells
- Deviated wells
- Horizontal wells
Deviated wells can be used in the reservoir simulation step to predict and compare production results at the different targets offering an additional method of uncertainty management. This allows you to choose the case with the well plan that is most profitable and most accurate in relation to historical data.
Furthermore, pseudo logs can be calculated for planned wells to QC the model.
Finally, planned wells can be used to guide the surface modeling and/or body modeling process, since these wells are also added to the well correlation view. These can then also be used to specify marker locations prior to surface creation.
Example: Three designed wells and calculated grid intersections
