Property Modeling and Mapping

In JewelSuite there are various ways to populate the reservoir model, surfaces and wells with properties such as porosity, permeability, saturation, net rock volume etc. Properties can be created and modified using different methods in the available Property Modeling processes:
- Property Calculator (seismic, grids, surfaces, wells), which uses logical expressions to create a property
- Property Modeling module in which petrophysical well log data is used as interpolation and simulation input (only for grids)
- Graphical Property Editor (only for grids), which provides 3D paint functionality to ‘paint’ a property on a grid
- Property creator (grids, surfaces, wells) which can be used to create properties with default values
In the Property Modeling module, various methods are available:
- Interpolation methods (kriging, inverse distance weighted, co-kriging)
- Sequential Gaussian Simulation (SGS), Sequential Gaussian Co-Simulation (SGcS)
- Sequential Indication Simulation (SIS)
- Facies object modeling
- Distribution based modeling
- Property filtering methods
- Nearest Neighbor methods
Furthermore, a Property Dictionary is available to setup custom property definitions and templates providing an easy way to manipulate and populate object with property values.
Example: Porosity Property Modeling based on well log porosity data, modeled using the Gaussian Sequential Simulation method
