Structural Modeling

Structural Modeling in JOA® JewelSuite™ is the process where interpreted seismic data can be triangulated and properly connected into a water-tight and consistent structural network consisting of horizons, faults, erosions and/or unconformities. The process automatically resolves problems like crossing surfaces and any other inconsistencies in the structural model. Using an easy step-by-step methodology, building the structural framework can be easily completed.
Besides automated processing steps to resolve intersections or other unwanted features, various 3D editing tools are available to manually shape individual polyline sets and surfaces
The automated correction processes can also be applied directly in the 3D view, intuitively, by simply clicking on surfaces that needs retraction from or extension to an adjacent surface.
Example: Water-Tight Structural Framework created from the combination of seismic interpretation data and well log data (to match the surfaces with the wells)
