Stair-step Rescue export

The new RESCUE export module for JewelSuite™ significantly extends options for exchanging Jewel models with other subsurface modeling applications and (non-integrated) reservoir simulators. For the 3D grids of Jewel models to become compatible with RESCUE they are passed through a Stair-stepping process which is delivered as part of the RESCUE export module. These Stair-step converted 3D grids can also be exported as a generic Eclipse format.

The RESCUE export and import option in JewelSuite enables the following workflow combinations:

  • Passing Stair-stepped models to non-integrated simulators such as Tempest™ and VIP™.
  • Exchanging Stair-stepped models with other geological modeling applications such as Petrel™ and Irap RMS™.
  • Adding corner point geometry to schematic simulation grids for more convenient visualization in Eclipse Office, Petrel RE, and CMG Builder & Results.
  • Better connectivity to 3rd party software for automatic history matching.
  • Models created in other packages can be imported more securely into JewelSuite using either RESCUE format or Eclipse format.
