The JewelSuite™ Exhibition at the annual SPE ATCE conference in New Orleans in October of 2009, was a success. Many people were excited to see the extensive new functionality in the JewelSuite 2009 software which was recently released. Large crowds attended demonstrations of the new seamless integration of JewelSuite with industry standard dynamic simulators such as the CMG IMEX simulator. The Engineering Dashboard, a new tool for analyzing the results of dynamic simulation data in a fully integrated multi-discipline 3D environment generated a lot of interest as well.

SMT joined our booth for a live demonstration of the new seamless integration of JewelSuite and the Kingdom Suite. This new functionality will allow interpreters to improve their understanding of the reservoir while generating 3D geologic models of the reservoir. This capability helps upstream exploration and production companies reduce cycle times and improve drilling decisions through more accurate volumetric calculations. These models can then be input to dynamic simulation workflows and analyzed in a collaborative environment, allowing input from all members of the asset team.

Several Oil and gas companies expressed interest in using the JewelSuite SDK developer’s kit to integrate their proprietary software tools with the JewelSuite model. Several universities in North and South America expressed interest in this opportunity as well.
