Figure 5: Jewel Suite⢠2008 user interface overview
The Jewel Suite⢠user interface has a number of main regions (see figure 5).
Main Menu Bar: provides access to main functionality.
Toolbars: provides access to
- Main functionality (e.g. standard and windows toolbar)
- Specific functionality per view (e.g. 3D view, Well Explorer View etc)
- Specific functionality per workflow step (e.g. Well Planning, Structure Builder Editing tools etc).
Solution Explorer: provides tree based access to all available data objects and properties. Each object has its own context menu (right mouse click), trough which various regularly used functionality is available.
Reservoir Simulation Case Explorer: provides access to all available reservoir simulation case, to setup new simulation cases, group simulation cases and start one or more simulation runs simultaneously.
View Explorer: provides tree based access to all created views in Jewel Suiteā¢. This allows you to efficiently organize and manipulate your views for different purposes, like reporting or modeling.
Property Explorer: provides access to all properties of the currently selected object(s) in the Solution Explorer or 3D View.
Workflow Manager: provides access to all available workflow processes in Jewel Suiteā¢, starting from object creation and data import to reservoir simulation and import of production results. Each workflow process has one or more panels, and each panel is sub-divided into 1 or more steps. This easy to use step-by-step approach guides the user through all functionality as easily as possible.
Output Information Window: provides useful information during a Jewel Suite⢠run, on-going processes information, user-input warnings and errors, as well as other informative messages related to the progress/process being run.
